At Sea, 334 miles from N.Y. - 3, 409 to go. Cloudy, but not too cold.
It was hot all night long in the cabin, but we finally got to sleep. Sam was still pretty bad this morning and Sandy & I went up on deck early. The sun was out there and it was lovely. No breakfast for Sam, no lunch either but we went up on the top deck to get blankets & deck chairs and stayed for hours. It's 6 p.m. now and Sam is still under the weather - Wish we could help but there's nothing anyone can do really. So far I've been O.K. Sandy complains off & on but nothing serious. Just boredom I guess.
Sam didn't go up to evening chow but afterward went out on deck & perked right up. Later we played cards and at 10 p.m. had coffee & sandwiches and of to bed to read at about 11 p.m.
It's bumpy now, not those long swells anymore. Everyone n the ship seems to have revived. There's a rumor of chickenpox on board - probably only a rumor tho - I hope.
