Gibraltar. Clear weather, 48F.
Got into Gibraltar early this morning and it looked lovely. It made us want to go there and investigate but we anchored out in the harbor and the debarkees went ashore in a ferry - quite a few of them.. The whole operation only took about 3 hours, then we were underway for Naples! That is, for about 45 minutes we were - the bearings had burned out again. We went back to Gibraltar with or under a distress signal - stayed anchored until about 7 p.m. then were underway again.
Surely didn't seem like New Year's Eve, but we had a dance in B lounge and the whistle blew at midnight. Then Mr. Epps and his band came down to our cabin and we drank 6 whole beers between them & us. What a gay time!
So far, the ship is till moving, hope it doesn't stop again, at least 'til we get to Naples -
