Naples. Cold, Windy, Rainy.
Cmdr. Blacker met us & we drove home to Rome with a Sgt. Yast. It was a lovely drive and we stopped for lunch at Merenare by the sea, it was beautiful, but Sandy is frightened by the foreign toilets. He says they make so much noise -

Got into Rome at 6 p.m.. Sam stopped by the Embassy and a friend, Perry, said we are to stay with him. I was too tired to argue and so was Sandy.
It's a huge cold, damp apartment but it's better than staying at an expensive hotel. Hope we can soon find one of our own tho -
Was very surprised at the size of Rome and the very modern buildings & stores right beside some that are centuries old. Am anxious to start seeing some of it - Sandy left the supper table to go to bed, so tired.
